Have you found yourself being drawn to rose quartz lately?
Yep, I totally get this feeling!
From time to time, I find myself being drawn to various crystals.
In previous years, I had no idea why this was. There was this absolutely magical metaphysical store in Covent Garden, London, where I used to go as a teen and in my early twenties. I would buy incense sticks, tarot cards, gorgeous candles and occasionally, I would feel drawn to certain crystals.
I couldn’t figure out why one month I felt like I needed amethyst, and three months later, I felt like I needed selenite or clear quartz…
Observing those feelings was interesting.
Rose quartz has a very healing and soothing vibration. It resonates with love and serenity and can help people to feel more peaceful, heal negative emotions and thought patterns, and additionally attract love and generally positive life experiences.
If you find yourself being attracted to rose quartz at the moment, it may mean that you may require some healing at this time in your life.
Below, I’m going to suggest eight ways in which you can heal yourself using rose quartz — alongside some other energy healing modalities.
1. Sleep with Rose Quartz Next to Your Bed
Take a piece of rose quartz and place it on your nightstand if you have one. A medium to large sized tumble-stone or rough chunk will do and these are very affordable at only around $2-3 each.
You can also place a polished tumble stone underneath your pillow or bed. As long as the stone is in the room with you (it doesn’t really matter where), you should reap the benefits of it but the closer to you it is, the better.
If you don’t the look of rough pieces or tumble stones, you can opt for a rose quartz sculpture. Angel, cat, heart, and pig sculptures are very popular and widely sold.
You can also buy beautiful decorative pieces for the home that are made from rose quartz such as vases, coasters, and tea light holders.
2. Add Some Rose Quartz to Your Next Bath
Once your bath has finished running, place some polished tumble stones in the water for a few minutes to help condition the energy of the water and infuse it with the vibration of love.
You can keep them in the bath and bathe with them or remove them before stepping in.
I always remove them before getting in just in case they somehow scratch the enamel!
3. Heal the Subconscious Mind of Limiting Beliefs
If you’re feeling drawn to rose quartz, it may mean that you could really benefit from clearing out plenty of subconscious clutter and limiting beliefs.
Limiting beliefs are often negative beliefs which we hold and which subsequently play out in our lives over and over again because our subconscious minds believe they are true and whatever the subconscious believes, our lives will reflect.
For example, you could hold the belief that you’re clumsy, so then you’ll often be clumsy because the subconscious mind runs the show.
Any negative, limiting beliefs about yourself, others, the area in which you live, the planet and humanity at large can all go.
We all have plenty of these and we continue to accumulate them on an almost daily basis from the things we observe, such as in the media, and comments from friends, family, and co-workers.
A good energy healer can help you to shift them and replace them with positive beliefs. You should find yourself attracting much better experiences into your reality and you’ll probably feel lighter too.
4. Cleanse Your Aura
RELATED: Why Selenite is Totally Awesome
You can use rose quartz to cleanse your aura but I would advise burning Californian sage or Holy Palo Santo wood too. These two natural materials seem to be consistently incredibly effective.
If you dislike the smell of burning sage or wood, try using a selenite wand or other herbs such as sweetgrass or lemongrass.
The rose quartz can then be run over your aura to condition the energy of it by adding peaceful and loving vibrations. Don’t forget to ask the angels or your Higher Self to seal your aura offto all but your highest and wisest guides, angels and your Higher Self for protection.
5. Incorporate Roses into Your Daily Routine
Since using rosewater on my slightly reddish, spotty skin, a few years ago, my skin has sincerely never looked consistently better.
BUT, another super strange by-product of using rosewater is that I also feel better — and it’s not just down to my skin looking better. I feel lighter. I feel happier and more at peace with pretty much everything and this is down to roses holding a very, very high vibration.
By spraying it onto my face and body each morning, I had no idea that I was cleansing my aura at the same time! This was way before I developed a keen interest in the metaphysical, so it came as quite a pleasant surprise when I put the pieces together! It was definitely an added bonus.
If you don’t like the idea of using it on your skin, that’s fine, you can also add rosewater to foods such as ice cream (see this awesome, flavorful rose and pistachio ice cream recipe) or burn rose oil in an oil burner or humidifier, or burn some rose incense sticks.
Pot-pourri made with dried rose petals is also wonderful to have around the home.
Be warned about rose oil, however, because there are some nasty fakes out there. Pure rose oil is shockingly expensive. Rose incense sticks, on the other hand, are about a dollar for a packet of 20.
Oh, and — I almost forgot, you can also drink rose tea! It tastes amazing. It honestly makes for such a wonderful afternoon treat. You can buy rosebuds at an herbal tea shop and make tea from them or if you don’t like the taste of then, you can opt for crushed rose petals mixed with all sorts of other flowers and herbs such as fennel, lavender, or chamomile flowers.
6. Set Some Intentions Daily
Try sitting down one evening somewhere quiet and think about what you’d like to change in your life and where healing may be needed in order for that change to come about with greater ease and speed.
Intentions are incredibly powerful. So much so, they can be used when you don’t quite believe you have the power to alter your reality.
Providing you don’t have any subconscious beliefs which may hinder the ability of your conscious intention to come to fruition, any intentions you set, be it daily or monthly, should come to pass if they are for your highest good and the highest good of anyone else involved.
7. Remember That YOU Are the Creator of Your Reality
We live in a Law of Attraction based Universe and your thoughts, feelings, and intentions draw to you experiences, people, and situations which you are a vibrational match for.
You can’t perceive something or someone who you don’t resonate with on some level.
You can absolutely change your reality (your outer world) by changing your subconscious thoughts, beliefs and conscious intentions and feelings (your inner reality). Remembering this is wonderfully healing, liberating and empowering.
8. You’re a Natural Healer
If you don’t feel you need to, or you’re not ready or even interested in any kind of healing at this time, you may also be drawn to rose quartz right now because you’re a natural healer and your healing abilities may be ripe for trying out now!
Remember to Charge and Cleanse Your Rose Quartz
It’s pretty vital to make sure your rose quartz is actually working well.
You’ll need to cleanse and charge it often to receive the maximum amount of energy from it in order to really benefit from using it. There are tonnes of articles online showing you how to do this. I really like this in-depth guide by Rite of Ritual. When buying rose quartz, it may also come with a little leaflet showing you how to do this.
